Uriko, born in 2007, was a showjumping stallion registered under the KWPN and Holsteiner studbooks. His lineage included the influential stallions Carthago and Heartbreaker, with Untouchable as his sire and Wizzard as his dam. In 2011, Uriko completed a performance test, earning a score of 9.25 in canter, an 8.83 in jumping ability, and achieving a breed value of 130. During his career, he excelled at advanced levels, securing victories at the S* level and achieving placements in S*** competitions. An untreatable orthopaedic condition led to him being euthanised by the Holsteiner Verband. Uriko's contributions continued through his role as a sire, significantly shaping the Holsteiner breed and producing successful progeny.
Uriko sired multiple successful showjumping horses, contributing significantly to international competitions. Among his notable offspring is Uricas v/d Kattevennen, who achieved third place in the 2023 Global Champions League Super Cup finale and competed as part of the Dutch Olympic team. Another distinguished progeny, Bull Run's Jireh, has been successful up to the 1.60m level in the USA. Charisma HS emerged victorious at the National Championship for five-year-old jumping horses in 2019 and continues to compete internationally.
