About Spartacus TN
Spartacus TN is a (died 2016) dark brown Hannoveraner / KWPN showjumping stallion foaled in 2003, by Stakkato out of a Grannus dam.
Spartacus TN was born on March 23, 2003, in Germany, and became a remarkable figure in the world of showjumping. Registered with the Hannoveraner and KWPN studbooks, he was bred by Frank-Christian Amend. He stood at 1.76 metres tall and boasted a dark bay coat. His sire, Stakkato, was an illustrious Hanoverian stallion known for producing elite competitors, while his dam, Galina, brought notable bloodlines through her sire Grannus, a key name in European jumping circles. Owned by Team Nijhof, Spartacus TN was approved by various leading studbooks including KWPN, Holstein, Hannover, Zangersheide, OL/OS, and Selle Francais.
In the competitive arena, Spartacus TN was a high-achieving showjumper. Ridden by prominent equestrians like Marco Kutscher, he excelled on the international circuit. His achievements include winning the Grand Prix of Oslo in 2012 and securing second place in World Cup classes in Geneva and Leipzig, demonstrating his prowess at the 1.60m Grand Prix level. He continued to perform impressively with Henk van der Pol, gaining third place in the 2016 Grand Prix of Arnhem. His career was marked by notable appearances at premier events such as the Nations Cup in Dublin and Hickstead.
Unfortunately, Spartacus TN's promising journey came to a premature end when he passed away in July 2016 due to colic. Despite his untimely demise, he left a significant legacy as a breeding stallion, having sired numerous offspring who have continued to make their mark in the competitive showjumping world.
Spartacus TN was not only a competitor but also an influential sire whose progeny have reached impressive heights in the showjumping arena. Among his notable offspring is Gakhir, who competes at the 1.70m Grand Prix level under the skilled guidance of Erynn Ballard. Spartacus TN has sired over 576 KWPN-registered offspring by 2015, with many showcasing their potential in age classes and progressing to international levels of competition.
