Sabras, he was sired by the renowned Selle Français stallion Almé and his dam was Tanagra, a prized mare featuring the influential Thoroughbred, Furioso XX, in her lineage. His pedigree also included Ibrahim and The Last Orange, notable ancestors in the sport horse world. As a five-year-old, Jalisco B secured an 8th place finish at the French Championships. Although he faced a setback due to injury, he represented Portugal at the 1988 Seoul Olympics in equestrian jumping with Manuel Malta da Costa.
