Known for his competitive success, Allegreto won the Grand Prix of Fontainebleau and consistently placed in Nations Cup competitions. In 2000, the stallion was preselected for the Sydney Olympics, highlighting his significant standing in the sport. Allegreto's skill in showjumping is evident from his ISO of 179 achieved in 1998. He was listed in the Selle Français studbook and stood at the S.A.R.L. Haras du Reverdy stud station in France.
Allegreto has sired several successful showjumping horses. Notable progeny include Pivoine du Reverdy, who achieved an index of 118, and Lazuli des Baillons with an index of 106, both showcasing their strength in competitions. Jolygreen Montmouth, another of his progeny, reached an index of 96, with these offspring contributing to Allegreto's legacy in the sport.
