About Presley Boy
Presley Boy is a (died 2014) black KWPN / AES showjumping stallion foaled in 1997, by Concorde out of a Damiro dam.
Presley Boy, a showjumping stallion, was born in 1997 in the Netherlands. Registered with the KWPN and Anglo European Studbook (AES), his sire was the eminent Concorde, and his dam was Ivoli, daughter of Damiro. Initially owned by Dutchman Hank Melse, Presley Boy gained international recognition with Mexican rider Jaime Azcárraga, achieving global success. In 2010, the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation purchased Presley Boy, who then competed successfully with Olympic medallist Khaled Al Eid, including a win at the five-star Grand Prix of Gijón and a 12th place at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky. An injury in 2012 cut short his competitive career just before the Olympic Games. Presley Boy's influence extended through his role in breeding, contributing to future generations at ERC De Morette. He died in 2014, leaving a legacy through his descendants.
Presley Boy was a remarkable breeding sire whose offspring have demonstrated admirable potential in the international showjumping scene. Notable progeny include Presley Star, born in 2018, who shows a considerable aptitude for jumping with a powerful takeoff and scope over fences. Another prominent offspring is Summer Song Du Champ Du Bois, a mare projected to achieve 1.60m Grand Prix level, inheriting the best traits of both her sire Presley Boy and dam Tess Briolita, herself an active competitor at the 1.60m level.
