He was a product of esteemed breeding, being sired by Concorde, a son of Voltaire and Flyer, and out of Icara, who descended from the influential Nimmerdor. His crowning achievements included triumphing in the Prize of Europe in Aachen and competing in the World Cup Final in Las Vegas in 2003. Marius Claudius's competitive history cements his legacy as one of the most successful sons of Concorde.
In addition to his competition successes, Marius Claudius left an indelible mark on sport horse breeding.
