About Vechta
Vechta is a dark brown showjumping stallion foaled in 1991, by Voltaire out of a Burggraaf dam.
Vechta is a Dutch Warmblood registered under the Anglo European Studbook, born in 1991, with a notable presence in showjumping as a breeding sire. While there are no available records of Vechta competing in showjumping competitions, his influence is considerably marked through his progeny. Owned by Donal Barnwell and bred by H. Van Der Scheer, Vechta owes part of his pedigree to other renowned sport horse breeds including Hanoverian and Selle Francais lineages. His UELN is recorded as 912286/DVH582, providing a unique identifier within equestrian databases. He stands approximately 169-170 cm at the withers and has been approved by the Anglo European Studbook among others. Despite the absence of competition records for Vechta himself, the stallion station currently standing him, if any, is not recorded, indicating a stronger legacy as a sire rather than a competitor.
Vechta's legacy is significantly upheld through his offspring, particularly Billy Congo. Billy Congo has established an impressive career in showjumping with achievements at the CSI5* level and has represented Great Britain in Nations Cups, competing successfully at the 1.60m mark under rider William Funnell. Another progeny, Billy Be Cool, has shown promise at high-level competitions as well. While detailed competition results for other offspring are limited, Vechta's impact on the showjumping discipline is most powerfully illustrated through the success of his notable progeny.
