About Plot Blue
Plot Blue is a (died 2019) bay KWPN showjumping stallion foaled in 1997, by Mr. Blue out of a Pilot dam.
Plot Blue was a KWPN-registered stallion, born in 1997 in the Netherlands. Sired by Mr. Blue and out of the dam Ilotte, his lineage includes superior showjumping genetics. Under the guidance of rider Marcus Ehning, Plot Blue secured a gold medal for the German team at the 2010 World Equestrian Games and won the individual World Cup Final in Geneva the same year. Accumulating over €1.2 million in prize earnings, Plot Blue's career featured victories in intense CSI5* Grand Prix events, including Cannes and St. Gallen, along with strong performances at the 2012 London Olympics. After retiring in December 2015, he became a prominent breeding stallion, continuing to impact the sport through his offspring until his death in 2019.
Plot Blue has been influential as a breeding sire, passing on his competitive attributes to numerous offspring. His progeny include Le Blue Diamond Van't Ruytershof, who has achieved notable success under Olivier Philippaerts and placed well in top-tier events, highlighting his sire's legacy. Another significant progeny is Great Blue, who stands as Plot Blue's first KWPN-approved son, further solidifying Plot Blue's impact on breeding.
