Caretano Z was a Holstein stallion registered with the Holstein studbook, born on January 1, 1992. He was bred by Manfred Birchler at BB-stables. Caretano Z was known for his exemplary showjumping skills, displaying early potential that culminated in a victory at the World Young Horse Championships in Lanaken as a seven-year-old, under the guidance of rider Jos Lansink.
Caretano Z competed internationally in showjumping before his promising career was tragically curtailed by a fatal loin rupture in 2001. Despite his untimely death, Caretano Z's genetic legacy continued through his offspring and beyond.
Caretano Z is recognised for his progeny that have competed successfully in showjumping. Notable offspring include Candlelight Z and Chicago I Z, who have demonstrated potential in high-level competitions, continuing their sire's legacy in the sport.
