Bred by Klaus-Martin Both in Obendeich, he was the creation of acclaimed breeding cross between sire Cor de la Bryère and dam Deka. He exemplified the perfect Holsteiner type and carried significant Thoroughbred influence in his bloodline, with 45.31% Thoroughbred ancestry evident across nine generations.
