About Landlord
Landlord is a (died 2007) showjumping stallion foaled in 1983, by Landgraf I out of a Whistler xx dam.
Landlord (b. 1983) was a Holsteiner stallion famed for his exceptional jumping ability and breeding influence. Bred by Werner Grimm, Landlord achieved prominence early in his career, becoming the Champion of the Holsteiner Stallion Selections at just 2.5 years old. His remarkable stallion test performance, which included perfect scores of 10 for both free jumping and under saddle, solidified his reputation.
Following a successful career in Germany, Landlord moved to Sweden where he was honoured with the 'Elite' title by the Swedish Studbook. He spent his final years at the VDL Stud in Holland, continuing to leave a lasting impact on the showjumping world through his offspring.
Landlord sired several prestigious showjumping progeny, most notably Lianos, ridden by Brazilian Rodrigo Pessoa, who claimed the World Championship title in 1998 and won renowned Grand Prix events in Aachen and Spruce Meadows. Another of Landlord's offspring, Index, secured victories such as the Grand Prix of Neumunster, illustrating the continuing success of his lineage on the international stage.
Landlord died in 2007 at VDL Stud, Holland (probable heart attack). Breeding may continue via frozen semen — confirm availability with the stud.
