About Lord
Lord is a (died 1993) bay Holsteiner showjumping stallion foaled in 1967, by Ladykiller xx out of a Cottage Son xx dam.
"Lord 95003," a Holsteiner stallion notable for his influence in showjumping, was born in 1967 in Germany. He was sired by the Thoroughbred Ladykiller xx and inherited a strong jumping lineage from his dam, Viola, of a respected Holsteiner line. Originally overlooked in breeding programmes, his impressive eventing career underscored his potential. In time, Lord became integral to modern showjumping breeding lines as a leading Holsteiner sire. He excelled in barrier jumping, clearing heights over two metres, and his success increased demand for his progeny internationally. His breeding stations included Siethwende, Wöhrden, and Wellinghusen, and later, he was offered by the Holsteiner Verband at Elmshorn. Lord's breeding impact is evident with a 32% success rate in Germany's advanced class (S), and his offspring have won about 4,000,000 € in competitions.
Lord 95003 is celebrated for siring numerous successful showjumping horses that have competed at the highest levels. Amongst his most notable offspring is Livius 11, who achieved significant victories under rider Peter Luther, including winning the German Jumping Derby in 1980. Livius 11 also contributed to team success in European, World, and Olympic Championships throughout the early 1980s. Another standout progeny is Lord Z, who has gained international acclaim in showjumping. His descendants continue to impact the global competitive scene, known for their exceptional jumping abilities and success in major championships. [1]
Lord died in 1993. Breeding may continue via frozen semen — confirm availability with the stud.
