About Ephebe For Ever
Ephebe For Ever is a (died 2020) Bay showjumping stallion foaled in 1992, by Galoubet A out of a Night and Day dam.
Ephebe For Ever was a bay Selle Français stallion born in 1992 who had a notable career in international showjumping. Sired by Galoubet A and out of Geisha N, Ephebe For Ever carried an esteemed pedigree with lineage tracing back to significant progenitors such as Alme and Night and Day. He began his sport career as a four-year-old and rose to prominence on the international stage.
Under the guidance of rider Christian Hermon, Ephebe For Ever competed successfully in several prestigious team events, including the Nations Cup, where he contributed to French team victories in Rome, Dublin, and St. Gallen. He demonstrated consistent performance by achieving a second-place finish at the French Championships and being on the long list for the Athens Olympics.
After a robust competitive career, Ephebe For Ever transitioned to breeding, standing at Hengstenstation Tivoli in Raalte, where he became a sought-after sire. His sporting contributions were complemented by his breeding success, as evidenced by the accomplishments of his progeny. He retired from competition at age seventeen and later passed away in 2020 due to colic.
Ephebe For Ever sired several successful showjumping horses who competed on the international scene. Among his notable offspring, Sassicaia Ares reached the 1.50m–1.60m levels under riders Emilio Bicocchi and Peter Moloney. Apsara achieved significant results while competing under Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, and Aminka A found success in the United States. Another offspring, VDL Bravo S, excelled in high-level competitions in the USA. Allstar B, another descendant, has notably excelled in eventing under British rider Rosalind Canter, although this is outside of showjumping.
Ephebe For Ever died in 2020 (colic). Breeding may continue via frozen semen — confirm availability with the stud.
