Crown Z is a Zangersheide-registered showjumping stallion, born in 2000, known for competing at the top international level in 5* Grand Prix and World Cup classes. With notable achievements including 69 international starts between 2009 and 2013, Crown Z excelled under riders Christian Ahlmann and Judy-Ann Melchior. His standout performances include a second-place finish in the Championat von Dresden and a fourth-place finish in Mechelen's 1.60m classes in 2012.
Bred by Stoeterij Zangersheide, Crown Z boasts an impressive lineage. His sire, Carthago Z, was an accomplished showjumper, participating in both the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games and producing numerous top-level showjumping offspring. On his maternal side, Crown Z is out of Ratina Z, one of the most successful competition mares, securing victories at both Olympic and World Championship levels.
After retiring from his successful sporting career in 2013, Crown Z transitioned into a breeding role. He is currently stationed at Lövsta Seminstation in Sweden and is approved for breeding by various studbooks, including Zangersheide, Swedish, and Selle Francais.
Crown Z has sired numerous successful show jumping progeny who have competed at high levels. Among them, Calgary Mury Marais Z and Crocus Mury Maria's Z have distinguished themselves in competition, both ridden by Patrick Mc Entee. Rocker D'Ysieux, with Emeric George, and Crannus Z, under Dennis Caubergs, are other notable offspring.
