About Cicero Z
Cicero Z is a (died 2026) Grey Zangersheide showjumping stallion foaled in 2001, by Carthago Z out of a Randel Z dam.
Cicero Z was a Belgian Warmblood showjumping stallion born on 30 March 2000, renowned for both his competitive accomplishments and his significant contributions to breeding. He was sired by the influential Carthago Z and out of the mare Rendez-Vous van Paemel. Throughout his competitive career, Cicero Z, ridden by Dirk Demeersman, achieved numerous victories, including the Grand Prix of Aalst and the Sires of the World in Mechelen. He also delivered impressive performances at prestigious events like the Nations Cup of Rome and the World Cup of Mechelen. His presence was consistently felt in high-level showjumping competitions such as the Six Bars competition in Dublin and other major fixtures worldwide. Eventually, Cicero Z retired to focus on breeding, becoming one of the most-used stallions globally, with his offspring excelling notably in 1.50m classes and beyond. Cicero Z passed away on 22 February 2026 at the age of 26, leaving a lasting impact on the showjumping world through his progeny.
Cicero Z's progeny have achieved remarkable success in international showjumping, highlighted by performances in elite competitions. Among his notable offspring, Izzy by Picobello, ridden by Bertram Allen, placed 8th in the World Cup qualifier at Mechelen and 5th in a Grand Prix at Olympia. Another successful offspring, Eristov, competed under Jordan Coyle, while Galisco van Paemel participated in Grand Prix events as an eight-year-old. His progeny Fenia van Klapscheut, associated with rider Marcel Marschall, also competed at a high level, showcasing Cicero Z's strong genetic influence in producing competitive show jumpers.
