Contendro II is a bay Holsteiner stallion born in 2001 and bred by Gestüt Lewitz. Standing 168 cm tall, he is a product of a notable lineage rooted in Germany's esteemed breeding practices. His sire, Contender, is one of the preeminent foundation sires within the Holsteiner studbook, while his dam, Bravo, has contributed significantly to the Holstein line 104a through multiple licensed sons and state premium mares. Contendro II is also a full sibling to Contendro I and Caretano Z, the latter a World Champion for young horses.
Contendro II made his mark early by successfully completing the 100-day performance test at Adelheidsdorf in 2004, claiming first in the jumping category. He ranked highly overall with a strong emphasis on his jumping prowess.
