Artos Z was a Hannoveraner grey stallion known for his impressive showjumping career. Born in Germany, he was sired by Almé Z and had Glorita Z as his dam. Competing for the USA with Mark Leone, Artos Z achieved notable victories, including first place at the World Cup events in Washington and Toronto in 1993, and a third place at the CSI-W World Cup Palm Beach in 1995. He made his mark in the challenging 1.60m classes of the sport. His sire, Almé, profoundly influenced modern jump horse breeding, and his dam Glorita Z was connected to Gotthard, who significantly impacted Hannoveraner breeding. Swiss Studbook (SBS) approved Artos Z, highlighting his value in breeding.
Artos Z sired several distinguished offspring in the showjumping arena. One such progeny is 'As Cold as Ice Z', a mare developed by Judy Ann Melchior and recognised for her success competing at the 1.60m level.
