Clinton
Clinton (Clinton 53) — Holsteiner stallion by Corrado I, 4th individually at the Athens 2004 Olympics with Dirk Demeersman, and sire of the breed-shaping Cornet Obolensky.
Clinton (recorded as Clinton 53) is a Holsteiner stallion foaled in 1993, by the great grey Corrado I out of a dam by Masetto. He combined a top international sport career with a breeding record few stallions match.
Sport career
Ridden by Belgium's Dirk Demeersman, Clinton finished fourth individually at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games and was part of the fifth-placed Belgian team at the 2005 European Championships in San Patrignano.
Breeding influence
Clinton stood in great demand in Belgium and is best known as the sire of Cornet Obolensky — himself a foundation modern jumping sire and the current world number one on the WBFSH 2025 final list. Through that line Clinton's blood runs into horses like Comme Il Faut 5 and onwards through much of today's top sport.
