About Perigueux
Perigueux is a Chestnut showjumping stallion foaled in 2002, by Perpignon out of a Stakkato dam.
Perigueux is a Hanoverian stallion known for his exceptional show jumping skills. He was born on 11 March 2002 and bred by Dr. Karl-Otto Jacobs in Bierbergen. Demonstrating remarkable potential, he scored 131.93 in the jumping index during his performance tests. Initially competing with Joachim Winter, Perigueux began an international career with Eva Bitter in 2009. He won the German National Champion title in Show Jumping in 2013. Although retired from competition, he serves as a breeding stallion at Niedersächsisches Landgestüt Celle, Germany. His sire is Perpignon, offspring of the renowned Westphalian sire Pilot, and his lineage includes the celebrated Hanoverian show jumper Stakkato. His dam, St.Pr.St. Sensation, also adds to his distinguished pedigree. In recognition of his breeding impact, he was named Hannoveraner Stallion of the Year in 2022 and honoured with the Hannoveraner Grande-Prize in 2013.
Perigueux has sired several notable offspring who have made their mark in the world of international show jumping. One of his most distinguished progeny, Equine America Papa Roach, achieved significant recognition by competing in the European Championships in Riesenbeck and securing the ninth place as the best individual result for Norway under rider Victoria Gulliksen. Another successful offspring, Prinz, has attained numerous international accolades with Hans-Dieter Dreher. The stallion's progeny, such as Policeman, Prieure, and Primus vom Neumühler Hof, continue to excel at competitions ranging from 1.50m to 1.60m levels, showcasing Perigueux's enduring legacy in the sport.
