Malin Baryard-Johnsson, born in 1975, is one of Sweden's most celebrated showjumping riders, known for her skill, competitiveness, and dedication to the sport. She has represented Sweden in numerous international competitions, including four Olympic Games. Baryard-Johnsson attained significant recognition when she secured a team gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics riding H&M Indiana, and achieved a commendable 5th place individually. Her Olympic success is backed by a team silver medal in the 2004 Athens Games.

Her success extends beyond the Olympics, having competed in four European Championships and four World Championships, contributing to Sweden’s World Championship team gold in Herning in 2022 and team silvers in Jerez 2002 and Tryon 2018. Her performance at the World Cup level is commendable, notably finishing third in the 2003 FEI World Cup Final with the horse Butterfly Flip in Las Vegas.
