Jessica Mendoza is a British showjumper, born 9 April 1996 and holding FEI athlete ID 10047109. She competes for Great Britain from a professional base in Wellington, Florida, and stood 34th on the Longines FEI Jumping World Ranking with 2,200 points at the 6 August 2026 snapshot. This record concerns the showjumper only; it is not the American softball Olympian and broadcaster Jessica Ofelia Mendoza, who is a different person.

Mendoza has no Olympic start and is not an Olympian. She was Great Britain's travelling reserve at Rio 2016 with Spirit T and did not enter the Olympic jumping competition — the four British competitive combinations were Nick Skelton with Big Star, Ben Maher with Tic Tac, Michael Whitaker with Cassionato and John Whitaker with Ornellaia. This entry previously stated that she competed at Rio 2016 with the British team; that claim was wrong and has been corrected. She likewise has no verified FEI World Championship start: British Equestrian listed her and Summerhouse among the reserves for Aachen 2026, and a reserve listing is not a start.

Her verified senior championship starts are both European. At Aachen in 2015, aged 19, she rode Spirit T to fourth with the British team and 68th individually, and was named the FEI's Longines Rising Star that year. At A Coruña in 2025 she started as an individual competitor for Great Britain with In The Air; the sources conflict on her final placing, with the FEI profile showing 10th, World of Showjumping reporting 11th and GrandPrix.info 12th, and no single figure is selected here. She has one FEI Jumping World Cup Final appearance, finishing 12th at Riyadh in 2024 with I-Cap CL Z; her second place at the Toronto league leg in November 2023 was a qualifier, kept separate from the Final.

Her biggest individual result is the 2025 Hampton Classic CSI5* $400,000 Longines Grand Prix with In The Air, won in a jump-off time of 37.34 seconds. She also won the 2024 HITS Hudson Valley CSI4* $250,000 Grand Prix with I-Cap CL Z, two CSI5* classes at CHI Geneva in December 2025 and the Ocala CSI4* Grand Prix in February 2026. She has made one Rolex Grand Slam Major start — the 2025 CHI Geneva Rolex Grand Prix with In The Air, where the official result records a retirement — and has no Major win; the Geneva class wins were supporting and qualifying classes, not the Major itself. On teams she was Nations Cup Final runner-up with Great Britain at Barcelona in 2015 and 2016 with Spirit T, and part of the winning British side in the Rotterdam Longines League of Nations round in June 2026 with Summerhouse.

As a youth rider she took Pony European team gold and individual bronze in 2011 and a second team gold in 2012 with Tixylix, then Junior European team silver in 2013 and Junior European team gold with individual bronze in 2014, both with Spirit T.
