About Drosselklang Ii
Drosselklang Ii is a (died 2014) Unknown showjumping stallion foaled in 1984, by Don Carlos out of a Frostluft dam.
Drosselklang II was a Hanoverian stallion born in 1984, known for his influence in breeding showjumping horses. Bred by Margarethe Hagenah in Himmelporten, Germany, he was sired by Don Carlos and out of Frustra II. Managed by the Celle State Stud and raised at Heinrich v. Allwörden's stable in Krautsand, he was recognised not only for his offspring's success in the sport but also for being named Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 2001, an honour bestowed at the Hanoverian Stallion Licensing event in Verden, Germany.
Drosselklang II stood out for his significant genetic contribution to the showjumping discipline rather than personal competition accolades. He was one of the last stallions to carry the Don Carlos line, an essential part of his appeal to breeders. His progeny have achieved remarkable successes, reflecting his contribution to the sport's bloodlines.
Drosselklang II was the sire of several notable showjumping horses. Among his offspring, Donnerlitchen stood out as a Reserve Champion at the 2000 Bundeschampionate under the ownership of Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum. Dorincord, another of his progeny, competed at the Olympic Games, showcasing his sire's genetic prowess on a global stage. Don Oscar also achieved acclaim as a reserve champion at the 1998 World Championships for Young Show Jumping Horses with rider Karl Heinz Markus.
Drosselklang Ii died in 2014 at unknown (unknown). Breeding may continue via frozen semen — confirm availability with the stud.
