About Araconit

Araconit is a (died 2019) bay showjumping stallion foaled in 1993, by Acord II out of a Calypso I dam.

Araconit was a Holsteiner stallion and prominent sire in the showjumping world, born in 1993 in Germany. He was bred by Caspar von Rumohr from Timmendorfer Strand and was owned by Gestüt Dobel in the Nordschwarzwald, Germany. With a height of 167 cm and bay colouring, Araconit was known for his significant contribution to showjumping breeding in southern Germany.

During his competitive career, Araconit was associated with showjumper Olaf Peters, who notably won the Baden-Württemberg Hallenchampionat in the Schleyer-Halle with him. They also participated in Nations Cup events during the early 2000s, showcasing the stallion's exceptional abilities in the sport.

Araconit's pedigree is highly regarded, with lineage tracing back to Acord II, and Alme Z bloodlines, as well as Calypso I. His sire, Acord II, and dam, Vanessa, brought together a remarkable combination of showjumping prowess that Araconit passed on to future generations.

Araconit sired a total of five licensed stallions and 43 S-level showjumping winners, making a significant mark in breeding circles. His most successful offspring was Antares, a Württemberger horse that achieved numerous international victories and was bred by Gabriele Zuske-Funk in Bad Teinach. Despite sparse specific records, Antares is noted for competing successfully in prominent Grand Prix events.

Araconit died in 2019 at Gestüt Dobel, Germany (severe colic). Breeding may continue via frozen semen — confirm availability with the stud.
