About Adelfos
Adelfos is a (died 2009) grey showjumping stallion foaled in 1983, by Athlet out of a Caletto I dam.
Adelfos was a Holsteiner stallion born in 1983, known for competing in showjumping. Sired by Athlet out of Condina, Adelfos stood at 172 cm tall and was recognised for his grey coat. He was used primarily for breeding from 1996 until his death.
Adelfos reached a significant milestone in his career when he competed with renowned rider Markus Fuchs at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, finishing 65th individually and contributing to a 6th place finish in the team competition. His ISO rating was recorded at 173 in 1999, highlighting his capability as a talented athlete on the international stage.
As a breeding stallion, Adelfos fathered numerous progeny, although none reached the upper echelons of international showjumping such as the CSI5* levels. His genetic profile was diverse, notable for being non-consanguineous, and he has produced over 273 registered progeny, with 216 having recorded indexes.
While Adelfos sired numerous offspring, none were documented to succeed at the highest levels of international show jumping, such as CSI5*. Among his progeny, Aspen Joter, born in 1989, has been noted from his lineage. Another offspring, Osiris de Terlong, born in 2002, carries a show jumping index of 122, but lacks substantial competition records at heightened levels. The majority of Adelfos's progeny participated at lower competition levels without notable international rankings.
Adelfos died in 2009 at France. Breeding may continue via frozen semen — confirm availability with the stud.
