Sharn Wordley is a New Zealand-born showjumping rider who has established a notable presence on the international circuit, particularly in North America. Despite not having recorded participation in major championship events such as the Olympic Games or World Equestrian Games, he has achieved significant success in other international competitions. Wordley has secured victories in significant events, including the GP Magnolia Cup at Tryon International Equestrian Center.

Throughout his career, Wordley has formed successful partnerships with several notable horses. Among these are Casper, sired by Contender, and Barnetta, sired by Baloubet du Rouet. Both of these horses competed in the prestigious CSI5* Grand Prix at Tryon, with Casper achieving a 16th-place finish with zero faults and Barnetta taking 20th place. These results underscore Wordley's competitive skill and consistency in high-calibre events.

Apart from his competitive endeavours, Sharn Wordley is also deeply involved in the equestrian industry as a trainer and horse dealer. He co-owns the horse sales venture '86 System Equestrian' in the United States and is actively engaged in horse breeding and training programs. His dual role as a competitor and trainer enhances his influence and reputation within the equestrian community.
