About Sameh El Dahan

Sameh El Dahan is an elite Egyptian showjumping rider who has left a notable mark on the international showjumping circuit. He began his equestrian journey at the Police Union Sports Club in Egypt before relocating to Northern Ireland in 2011 to join Sycamore Stables. Under Joanne Sloan Allen's mentorship, El Dahan saw numerous high-profile successes. In 2018, riding Suma's Zorro, he captured the prestigious CP 'International', presented by Rolex, at the CSIO5* Spruce Meadows 'Masters' in Calgary, part of the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping. Additionally, that year he clinched a gold medal at the LGCT Paris Grand Prix, enhancing his stature in the sport. El Dahan has represented Egypt in events like the 2012 FEI World Cup Final and the 2014 FEI World Equestrian Games. Although not chosen for the 2021 Egyptian Olympic team, he switched to represent Great Britain, showing resilience. However, in 2023, after improvements in the Egyptian Equestrian Federation, he returned to representing Egypt.
