Pieter Devos, born on 8 February 1986, is a renowned Belgian showjumping rider known for his remarkable achievements in international championships. Based in Bekkevoort, Belgium, he operates Devos Stables along with his wife, Caroline Poels. Pieter Devos has been an active participant in the showjumping circuit for over 17 years, showcasing his skill and dedication to the sport. He has established a successful career by forming strong partnerships with several top-class horses, including Claire Z, Espoir, and Casual DV Z.

Devos made a significant mark in the equestrian world by being a part of the Belgian team that clinched gold at the 2019 European Championships in Rotterdam and was part of the Belgian team that won bronze at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Additionally, his impressive performances have earned him a reputation as one of Belgium's top showjumpers, contributing to the team's success in the FEI Nations Cup Final in 2018 and consistently achieving high ranks in the FEI World Cup Finals.

Devos has one verified Olympic appearance and it is precisely team-only: at Tokyo 2020, held in 2021, he started the team qualifier and the team final with Claire Z and won team bronze with Belgium, but made no individual start. He entered the three-combination team after Niels Bruynseels and Delux van T & L could not continue; the initial reserve status is not counted as a start, the completed team rounds are. Team Belgium's official report records third, while Claire Z's FEI achievement page displays team rank 2; the official result controls and the discrepancy is retained.

His four senior championship medals are all team medals: Olympic team bronze in 2021, European team gold at Rotterdam in 2019 and A Coruna in 2025, and European team bronze at Riesenbeck in 2021. He has five European Championship starts and two World Championship starts, at Caen in 2014 and Tryon in 2018; he was selected for the 2010 World Equestrian Games but did not start after his horse was injured in the stables, which is not counted as an appearance. He has four FEI Jumping World Cup Final starts, at Paris 2018 (9th), Gothenburg 2019 (29th), Riyadh 2024 (8th) and Basel 2025 (27th), and no Final win; his Bordeaux 2018, Stuttgart 2018 and Basel 2024 wins were league qualifiers.

His single Rolex Grand Slam Major victory is the CN International Grand Prix presented by Rolex at the Spruce Meadows 'Masters' on 8 September 2013 with Candy; he was runner-up at the same Major in 2015 and finished fourth and third in the Rolex Grand Prix of The Dutch Masters in 2025 and 2026 with the homebred Casual DV Z. On the 6 August 2026 FEI snapshot he was 28th in the Longines Ranking on 2,269 points, with Casual DV Z and Jarina J his two leading combinations.
