Nayel Nassar, born in Egypt, is a showjumping rider representing his country at many major international championships. Excelling at navigating challenging courses, he is a prominent figure in equestrian sports, especially showjumping. His collaboration with skilled horses has brought him recognition on the world stage. In the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, he rode Igor van de Wittemoere to a 24th place individual finish and contributed to Egypt's 11th place in the team event. At the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon, USA, Nassar's participation was notable, despite not reaching the podium. Competing in the 2022 World Equestrian Games in Herning, Denmark, he ranked 37th individually and 12th in the team competition. Over his career, he has worked with renowned horses like Lordan, Lucifer V, and Igor van de Wittemoere. Lordan was significant in events such as the 2013 Las Vegas National Horse Show World Cup Qualifier. Performances with Lucifer V and Igor van de Wittemoere in the Longines FEI World Cup have boosted his reputation in showjumping.
