Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, born 26 December 1969, in Los Angeles, California, is a renowned showjumping rider who competes for Germany. Initially competing for the United States, she became a German citizen in 1998 following her marriage to fellow equestrian Markus Beerbaum. This change marked the start of her prolific career representing Germany at the international level. Michaels-Beerbaum has been a prominent figure in the sport, notably becoming the first woman to top the world rankings in show jumping.

Her remarkable career is highlighted by multiple significant achievements across major international competitions. She achieved success at the FEI World Cup Finals, riding her eminent mount Shutterfly. Following this success, she was part of the German teams that won the Team Gold at the 1999 European Championships and again secured Gold at the 2005 Championships in San Patrignano. At the 2007 European Championships in Mannheim, she further showcased her individual prowess by winning a Gold medal.

Apart from her European success, Meredith captured a Gold medal in Team Jumping at the 2010 World Championships in Kentucky and earned a Bronze medal in Team Jumping at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro with her horse Fibonacci. Her consistent performances made her a fixture at the top of the sport, maintaining the number one position in the world rankings for a total of 24 months.
