Henrik von Eckermann, born on 25 May 1981 in Nyköping, Sweden, is a leading showjumping athlete competing for Sweden on the international stage. He has consistently been among the world's top riders, featuring in the Longines Rankings as the number one for over two years. His career includes notable performances at the Olympics, World Championships, and European Championships. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, von Eckermann secured a gold medal in the team event with King Edward, and an individual world title at the 2022 FEI World Championships in Herning, Denmark, making history as the first Swedish rider to achieve this. Von Eckermann has captured gold medals at various championships, both individually and in team events. In European Championships, he claimed a team bronze in 2013 and silver in 2017, contributing to a team gold in 2022. Outside competition, he co-manages Cyor Stables in the Netherlands with his wife, Janika Sprunger, a Swiss showjumper, and previously ran Von Eckermann Sport Stable in Germany while engaging in coaching and managing showjumping operations.
